See All ReviewsAmazing Ethiopian & Eritrean Dining Experience in Wichita, Kansas I took my American friends to try Ethiopian traditional food and coffee for the first time. Whenever they travel to larger cities, they always seek out Ethiopian restaurants to enjoy injera, Ethiopian coffee, and traditional honey wine (Tej). Since Wichita has only one Ethiopian and Eritrean restaurant, we decided to visit Sara and Tedros, and we were so glad we did. The service was exceptional. The staff took the time to explain the dishes, answer our questions, and make sure we had everything we needed. The owner was very welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic flavors. Everything we ordered was fresh, high quality, and surprisingly affordable. The combination platters were a favorite because they allowed us to sample a variety of traditional dishes. The injera was excellent, and the Ethiopian coffee was rich and flavorful. The atmosphere was elegant while still maintaining a traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean feel. On Saturday evenings, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy great African music while sharing a meal with friends and family. My American friends absolutely loved the experience, and we left already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for authentic Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine in Wichita, I highly recommend this restaurant. Authentic food, excellent service, warm hospitality, and a wonderful cultural experience.
A wonderful opportunity to enjoy authentic Ethiopian cuisine. We ordered, and shared, 3 different entrees, all were delicious. Our friends had never experienced Ethiopian food, and were pleasantly surprised. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
We came in with a large (9) group on a Sunday. Definitely should have called ahead. Food was fantastic, just took a while with a large group and we cleaned them out by ordering just about everything. They did very well accommodating us all things considered. Will go again. You have to try the meat sambusa so good.
